Denim shirts and balance
I hit the ground running as soon as I got back from #AltWinter2016. And not with work, but with family and home life. We started painting what is soon to become my glam room (I can’t wait to share), which was fun and exciting. A few days later, things took a turn as my son came down with a virus. Being the mom that I am, I get plagued with worry. But during it all, I felt extremely grateful that 1. I work from home 2. Have an amazing boss who totally gets it when these things happen. However, it’s not easy. Clients are waiting. Emails are coming in. The world doesn’t stop. In these moments, I have to rely on the help of our team, my fiance and friends (when needed) so that I can take him to the doctor right away and be by his side. If you’re a mom in the midst of the hustle, be easy on yourself. I strive for balance all the time, but it’s not always possible. Each day will bring something new, and all you can do is just accept what is and ride the wave. The balance doesn’t come in one day. It’s in waves throughout the week, month and year.
My son is doing much better so it’s back to making things happen. That’s the balance. Things will be steady for a few days, and then another wave will come in that will require your immediate attention. It’s why shopping for me is all about buying pieces that can stand the test of time and be worn in different ways. A denim shirts goes a long way. It can be worn in so many ways, and it is a definite closet must-have. I also love a good midi-skirt with pockets. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, style and convenience (worn here). Mix your closet must-haves with an animal print shoe, and you’ve got yourself an effortless yet chic look for many different occasions. Busy lives require many classic staple pieces that will take the time and stress out of putting together outfits when you’re on the go.

To make sure that I can handle it all, I started working with a health and wellness coach, Morena Escardo. You can’t be good for anyone if you’re not well yourself, and I want to be at the top of my game. I will definitely share all that I learn along the way. I want us all to be good. I want you, my readers, to grab life by the horns and make it happen.
I’ll be back soon with a super cute (really cute) art show I attended that will be sure to spark up some nostalgia, and few updates.
