Spring look: Raspberry lips

Create this chic Spring look L’Oreal Paris recently sent me their latest L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paints collection. I’ve been enjoying these products so much, I just had to do a post. Other than the product I received, I’m not being sponsored to write this. But when something works for me, you know I need to share. Also, I’m often asked if I really wear L’Oreal products as much as I say I do, and the answer is yes. I’ve been wearing  True Match foundation since 2004 (Sand Beige specifically), and continue to find new reasons to come back for more. The Infallible Paints collection is perfect for creating a raspberry (and shimmer) Spring look.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible PaintsI have a lot of friends who can rock the heck out of dark blue and purple lips colors, and I so wish that were me. A bold red, orange of fuscia is as much as my skin tone can handle. It just doesn’t work on me. But the beauty about this collection is that you can blend colors to take them up a notch or bring them down. Totally up to you!

The Infallible Paints collection is perfect for creating a raspberry (and shimmer) Spring look. For this Spring look, I combined Wild Rose and Violet Twist to create a raspberry lip color. I love how it looks with the peachier blush in the Infallible 230 compact. The blushes are blendable, which makes it a great all-you-need palette for day to night events or travel.
L'Oreal Paris Infallible PaintsPlaying around with the lip glosses and blushes was a lot of fun because you can completely transform your looks with just one swipe (chic, bold, classic, edgy, you name it). But I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about the liquid eye shadow. I can’t remember if I’ve used an eye shadow like this, so I was pretty hesitant at first. Was it going to feel sticky on my lids (I get easily bothered by things on or around my eyes)? Was it going to make my lids look wrinkly (when you’re over 40, it’s a real concern)? Will they blend well? After so may questions, I was pleasantly surprised.
L'Oreal Paris Infallible PaintsI wanted to keep my lips the main focus of this look, so I picked Cool Ivory and Brown Sugar for the eyes. I dabbed the the warmer shade in Cool Ivory on my eyes lids and smoothed it out with flat brush. On the crease, I applied the lighter Brown Sugar and blended the edges with a blending brush. On the edges I dabbed a little bit (and I mean a little bit because this eye shadow is very pigmented, especially if you don’t like to wear a lot of makeup) of the darker Brown Sugar color. I blended that in as well so create a smokey look. Believe it or not, I actually found the liquid eye shadow easier to apply and blend than a regular powder. And you know I’m all about keeping life simple and no fuss, so that was a win/win for me. The shadows also lived up to their promise to last all day. So you don’t have to worry about it fading as the work day goes on (or if you’re going on a special date!). I started off light and built up, but I didn’t waste a lot of time in between. I was a little concerned that it would dry and seal quickly.

The barrel comes with two complimentary colors (trust me, you will want to get additional colors after trying out one). The shades come in matte, shimmer and pearl, so you will need to grab a few of your favorite colors for options.
