Same book, new chapter

My posts have slowed down a bit this month, as we’re knee-deep into another event coming up around the corner.

#WeAllGrowFAMILIA is happening on Saturday at Munchkin Headquarters, and the line-up of speakers is really superb. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a full-day workshop designed for millennial parents who are building online businesses.

I love hearing from mothers who are creating products and bettering the lives of families through their work. Authors, toy companies and executives are going to talk business and parenting, and I can’t wait to hear what they have to say.

Same book, new chapter

It’s always comforting to feel like we’re in this together. Even though my son is already seventeen and I’m way passed the toddler days  (and I fall into the Gen X parenting category), I still love to talk to moms about the journey. As the mom of a teen, there’s still pl-en-ty to say. My chapter in the book of parenting may be many pages in but we still have worries and challenges just like new moms – ours are just different.

I’ve had some really busy and full weeks filled with tons of work on top of parenting and just every day things, so I’m definitely looking forward to some chat time with other moms. Although I will be working during the event, I will get plenty of hugs and laughs in. I can’t express enough how important it is to find a tribe of like-minded women/moms when you’re raising a family.
