Hustle Mania Art show at Known Gallery in Los Angeles with Patrick Martinez
Last night was the opening of HustleMania at Known Gallery – a mixed media solo exhibition by artist Patrick Martinez. The place was absolutely packed but the enormous size of the crowd did not take away from the artist’s visually captivating work. From non-traditional still-life paintings to neon signs, the show mirrored the realities of urban life, especially during the last few years of our economic turmoil. Martinez said it best in 2008 “selling out is the new keeping it real” in regard to the relationship between art and the economy. Very excited to see him take the dialogue one step further.
