Last bit of summer

Can you believe Fall is around the corner? Summer flew by! The last few months have been a whirlwind of work, events, family visits and teen life. Our home was literally filled with my son’s friends pretty much on rotation. He would leave with one kid and come back with another. Or they were just coming in and out on their own, and not leave until the next day. It was crazy. But it was the kind crazy that’s fun, lively and everything that makes high school years a time to remember. Nothing makes me happier than having that home the kids love to visit for some good food, an outing or a night of family games. My 14 year old cousin was also visiting from NYC, which was a whole other adventure for me as I’m not used to figuring out ways to keep a teen girl entertained – for the exception of my 12 year old sister’s visit last year, in which perfect timing brought about BeautyCon and Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s tour. My cousin was given the full beauty treatment and blogger life, which included a curvy girl beach gathering hosted by my lovely friend Monique, a Clinique cake decorating event (more to come), an evening with TRESemmé (more to come on that too) and lots of eating. Lots.

What does any of this have to do with my Clinique Pop? Nothing, really … Other than the fact that “beauty” time was very limited and I had to come with quick summer looks for many ‘spur of the moment’ activities. Because there was not a whole lot of time for primping, I relied heavily on bold lip colors (my current favorite is Punch Pop), Clinique’s Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight and their array of beautiful blushes.

Now that my schedule is going back to normal (sort of), I can’t wait to share all the content that’s still trapped in my camera. Hope you all are enjoying these last days of summer!
