Pretty in pink
Did you ever randomly walk into a store and spot a dress you knew you just had to have? I was out shopping with my cousin (for her) when I spotted this pink slip dress at Banana Republic and immediately fell in love. My cousin, all but 16, convinced me to try it on. I loved the fit, the color, the everything. And well, there you have it. It came home with me, and I’m smitten. For me, that’s kind of a big deal. I’m not an impulse shopper in the least.

My lovely friend Serena, a jewelry designer, has an amazing shop in LA filled her work and the work of some really great designers, artists and sculptors. Being the non-impulse shopper that I am, I merely talked about how much I loved this necklace but never bought it. Alas, it was given to me a gift (hmm, was that part of the plan?).

I bought this on end season sale at $9.50, great deal from original price of $160. I want to wear this in summer but as casual dress. (going out for coffee with friends, errands) Any suggestions what shoes or sandals style and colour to go with this dress? That dress look great on you on a classy level.

This dress reminds a lot of the ones I wore in the 90s, so you can absolutely wear it with flats. Heck, I’ve even seen them worn with chucks!

As far as color goes, I would probably stick with a nude or cream. The dress has so many pretty little details on its own.
