The enchantment of black lace

There really is nothing like black lace and glitter for the holidays. About a month ago, I was hunting for a dress to wear to the Latin Grammy’s and absolutely fell in love with black lace cocktail number from Anthropologie. Why is that place so good? I knew many women would be wearing gowns and sequins, but I really just wanted this dress. I looked at this dress and said “this is the one.”

I like buying pieces that I know I can wear again, and this cocktail dress will go a long way. Same goes for the shoes I’m wearing. I got these ankle strap heels years ago (2007?), and they’re still relevant today. This look gives me an old Hollywood vibe, and you can’t go wrong with that no matter the season. 

Invest in classic pieces that can stand the test of time, but change them up with trend pieces that won’t break the bank.
