Mix it Up with Moscato for the 4th of July

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Gallo Family Vineyards and Latina Bloggers Connect. All opinions and taste buds are my own. I mean, who doesn’t love a good Moscato?

The 4th of July is almost here! One of my favorite things to do is have dinner with my family and walk over to the fireworks display in our neighborhood. There’s nothing like being outside on a cool summer night with your loved ones looking at the sky light up in colors. And if there is sangria to pour, even better! If you want to add a refreshing summer drink to your celebration, sangria is a very simple and fun cocktail to make. From tangy citrus to a rich berry flavor, there are lots of ways to make a great sangria to suit your taste.

I love berries so I made a sangria packed with my favorite fruits. I used 1 1/2 cup of rum, one orange, one lemon, one lime, 1/2 cup of raw sugar, fresh blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and one full bottle of Gallo Family Vineyards Red Moscato, which has a light sweet citrus and peach flavor with a bright red berry finish.

Gallo Family Vineyards, founded in 1933 by brothers Ernest & Julio Gallo, sent me a deliciously sweet and beautifully red bottle of Moscato. I’m not exaggerating when I say this red is perfect for me. Every single time I order red wine at a restaurant (and you can ask my friends!), I ask for the sweetest red in the house to go with my meal.

Need a delicious wine for your 4th of July celebration? Gallo Family Vineyards has a variety of flavorful wines that celebrate the spirit of hardworking families all across the country. Pink, red, white … You will not be disappointed. You can make a great sangria with either one. In fact, if you joined us for the National Moscato Day #DiadelMoscato Twitter Party on May 9th, you would recall the endless amounts of cocktail recipes and ideas that were shared. Moscato is not just a great dessert wine, it’s perfect for cocktails. The berry taste makes this a wonderful treat for summer and goes perfectly with spicy dishes, like carne asada. Add a dose of sunshine, music and fireworks and you’ve got yourself the perfect day. I hope you all have wonderful and safe 4th of July!
